About the event

On August 4th, there will be a New Moon. On  the day of the event, (the second of August) we will be in a waning moon phase, a time for energetic and emotional release. Noema will guide this powerful Moon through a ceremony involving Tea and Rapé.

Rapé

Rapé, also known as hapeh or Hape, is a sacred tobacco plant traditionally used by Indigenous Healers and Shamans for spiritual purposes. It serves to connect the human and spirit worlds and can heal physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects. Known as Shamanic Snuff, it provides a holistic approach to well-being and carries deep cultural significance, passed down through generations as Sacred Knowledge and used in tribal ceremonies and rituals.

Rapé allows for direct absorption into the bloodstream, resulting in a very intense experience that impacts both spiritual and physical levels. In Plant Medicine tradition, tobacco is considered "the father of all plants" and "consort to the mother spirits of all shamanic plants.” Tobacco contains two alkaloids, harman and norharman, which inhibit monoamine oxidase, acting as antidepressants and stimulants. Nicotine enhances brain blood flow and stimulates neurotransmitters (epinephrine, acetylcholine, and dopamine), aiding in the decalcification of the pineal gland.

The effects of Rapé can vary based on the individual and dosage, but generally include a sense of grounding, clarity, and awareness. It can activate chakras, allowing energy to flow from root to crown, and is known to purify and cleanse the sinuses and lungs.

Administration of Rapé

Rapé is typically consumed through the nasal passages using specific tools and methods. Here's a detailed overview of how it is administered:

  • A longer pipe is used for administering rapé to another person, in this case, Noema.
  • One end is placed in the administrator’s mouth, and the other end in the recipient’s nostril.
  • The administrator blows the rapé into the recipient's nostril.
Tea Ceremony

The tea ceremony is a ritual that promotes harmony, reverence for nature, and human connection. Along with the drum, it is an excellent combination for deep integration.
